Mark Hill is an English author, publisher, antiques expert, Lecturer, and TV presenter. He is the leading specialist dealer in postwar Czechoslovakian glass. Mark is best known for his appearances as an expert on BBC Antiques Roadshow and Antiques Roadtrip.
The renowned antiques expert attended Cranmore Preparatory School in West Horsley. He also studied at the Royal Grammar School, Guildford before studying History of Art and Architecture at the University of Reading. Upon graduating from university, Mark started working with antiques and collectables and landed his first antiques job as a porter at Bonhams in 1996.

Since 2001, he has been the ‘Collectables and 20th Century Design’ specialist for an international series of books and he has also published books on Medina glass, Dartington glass, West German Ceramics, and Czech glass design.
Marked has appeared as an expert on the BBC Antiques Roadshow since 2007. His other TV presenting highlights include co-presented four primetime TV shows on antiques, collecting, and interiors for BBC2, Collectaholics, and Antiques Uncovered. Touring across the Highlands and Lowlands in our 1970s Triumph Stag classic car, Roo and I visit Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, the Isle of Skye, and Stirling – and we even make it as far north as John O’Groats! We had so much fun, and it was an utter delight travelling with Roo.”
