The Great Yorkshire Show will return to the Harrogate showground next week as the annual event returns to celebrate the best of Yorkshire’s agriculture once more.
It’s the 163rd Great Yorkshire Show, with over 130,000 visitors expected and 8,500 animals set to go on display and in an exciting change the event is set to run for an extended four days for the first time ever.

This year the show will welcome two cattle world congresses which will see farmers from all over the world come to the show to see the best in the business and exchange ideas.

And the changes don’t stop there, for the first time ever, there will be Sheep Dog Trials taking place twice a day in the Main Ring, with competitors from UK’s four home nations taking part.
There will also be three new show jumping classes this year, with show jumping held in the TopSpec White Rose ring for the first time.

The Great Yorkshire Show 2022 is set to take place over four days from Tuesday July 12 till Friday July 15 2022. The opening times for 2022: 8am to 6pm each day.
Can I still get a ticket for the Great Yorkshire Show?
Tickets for Tuesday 12, Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 July 2022 are now sold out, however, there is still some availability for Friday 15.
Here are the ticket options:
- Family tickets: Two adults and up to three children -£75.
- Adults: £29
- Children aged 5-18 : £13
Group discounts are available for groups of more than 15 until June 10, and discounts are also available for school parties – find more information here.
Tickets numbers are being capped for each day and are only available online or by calling the ticket office (open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm) on 01423 541222.
To book tickets, including Grandstand tickets, visit the website or call the ticket office.
Tickets are non transferable, as tickets are day specific they cannot be used or swapped for an alternative day.
As visitor numbers will be capped each day, tickets were only available to purchase in advance and will not be available to purchase on the gate.
If you are a member of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society you do not need to buy tickets to the Show. Members will have access to all four days, you will, however, need to bring your membership card with you on all the days you attend.
