Restrictions
Urns containing human ashes require an import permit issued by the Presidium of the Municipal Council of the locality where the urn is to be buried.
Observations
- Import permits are required for many goods. Therefore, senders should ascertain from the addressee before mailing whether the necessary documents are held.
- As of July 1, 2021, the value-added tax (VAT) exemption is abolished on all imported goods. For more information regarding the European Union’s VAT rules, visit https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/business/vat/vat-e-commerce_en.
- Poland requests that, for all items containing goods, the customs declaration form include the following information, if available:
- Country of origin for each article in the item.
- Economic Operator Registration Identification (EORI), if such a number has been assigned).
- Telephone number and email address for the addressee.
