Bath Heritage Days 2023

Our biggest celebration of the year, circling around Independence Day. Free Waterfront Concerts, Art in the Park, Kids Day, Antique Car Show, Maine’s Largest Fourth of July Parade, Smokey’s Greater Shows Carnival and Fireworks!

This year our festival starts on Friday June 30th and ends with Fireworks on Tuesday July 4th.

The Firemen’s Muster is on July 1st from 12-3pm on Front Street.

This is a SENSATIONAL piece of history that comes alive. Join in the fun by cheering on the different hand tubs from all across the state, as they compete against one another for strength and power!

Art in the Park! 40 Vendors! Live Music! Library Book Sale, Food Trucks and new this year, Wine Garden!

Bill King’s Front Street Shuffle is on Sunday July 2nd from 9am-1pm!

This is the biggest antique car show in the region! Explore and discover cars from all different eras. The owners are there to answer your questions. We will enjoy music from a local DJ as well as hear live music from the Volunteers Jazz Band!

Kids Day is Monday July 3rd from 10am-1pm at Library Park.

Painting, Pastels, Jewelry-Making, Sand Art and Face Painting all brought to you by the amazing Kid’s Down Under, one of our local childrens programs. New this year, Kid’s Down Under is welcoming Bath at Play to join and offer more active games and a whoopie pie eating contest!

Portland Reavers; Maine Armored Combat! Monday, July 3rd from 1-3pm

Enjoy a live swordsmanship demonstration with this skilled group who will showcase the lost art of medieval battle! Fun for all ages and safe to be around, as they will be in a fenced perimeter and use non-live blades (no sharp edges!). This is NEW to Bath Heritage Days this year!

Bath Parks & Recreation Heritage Days Road Race! Tuesday July 4th starting at 7am.

Sign up or come watch the road races for both the 1 Mile Fun Run and the 5 mile road race! This is a tradition for locals and summer residents who can count back generations who have participated!

Join us for the Bath Heritage Days Independence Day Parade! July 4th from 10am-11:30am.

This is one of Maine’s Largest Fourth of July Parades and we are so excited to share with you the amazing, diverse, unique entries that are ready to spread the theme for this year; “Sail Forth!” The parade route goes along Lincoln Street, down Centre Street and up to City Hall, then it follows Front Street until it finishes at North Street! Find your spot to watch the festivities and then go celebrate with the live music at the Waterfront starting at noon!

Queen Bee – Saturday July 1st at 3:00pm

This is a returning band to Bath Heritage Days! Queen Bee is a group that enjoys their alternative take on a variety of songs, you’ll hear things you know and some you are delighted at how it’s been re-imagined!

Lynn Deeves Trio – Saturday July 1st at 5:00pm

Lynn has shared stages with: America, Janis Ian, Cheryl Wheeler, Catie Curtis, Ellis Paul and many more. Musical travels have taken her around New England as well as to Canada, Arizona, California, Colorado and Nashville. Deeves has been named Maine Female Vocalist of the Year and won 2nd place in the New England Songwriting Contest.

Maine Street R & B Revue – Saturday July 1st at 8:00pm

This powerhouse R&B band will bring you a sound like no other in the area! Sensational horn section kicks off the tunes that will keep you dancing!

Sunday July 2nd Waterfront Stage Lineup!

International Maine with Tony Dancer – Sunday July 2nd at 1:30pm

Come get inspired to get on your feet and groove with the positive energy from Tony Dancer and his friends. They will explore the different cultures from around the world and how we are all one, through the togetherness of dance!

The Dooryarders – Sunday July 2nd at 3:00pm

Dooryarders, a guitar and vocal harmony-based rock band with elements of R&B, call Harpswell home. Composed of four members. Bill Stamey (lead vocals, guitar), played in bands during his formative yearson Beale Street and around his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. He loves the Stax sound and anymusic with soul and grit.

Alice Limoges – Sunday July 2nd at 5:00pm

Born and raised on a mountain by the sea in coastal Maine, Alice Limoges was singing before she could walk. From sharing her original music and sensitive voice to live performance at private events, one-on-one music lessons to custom song commissions, Alice injects her unique flair for beauty into everything she does.

Dave Gutter with Jeff Beam – Sunday July 2nd at 8:00pm

Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Dave Gutter, from Portland, Maine has been reknowned as one of the most perceptive and enigmatic lyricists of his time and is best known for his work as front man of indie rock gropus; Rustic Overtones, Armies and Paranoid Social Club.

New Shades of Blue – Monday July 3rd at 5:00pm

Eclectic mix from old time jazz favorites to originals, some blues and sometimes reggae-based originals. Juliane Gardner, is lead vocalist and keyboards, Christopher Poulin is vocals, guitar and flute. Ezra Rugg is acoustic bass.

Band of Killers – Monday July 3rd at 8:00pm

“A group of working musicians formed a supergroup of their own and they’ll be playing to kill” based in Boston, R & B, Funk, Soul, Rock.

Our beloved local Elvis will join us to celebrate the Fourth with his incredible vocals, classic tunes and sentimental songs.

Tim Winchester – Tuesday, July 4th at 5:00pm

Winchester has received growing recognition for his contemporary folk songwriting – 2021 Great American Song Contest Honor Finalist (Folk/Americana) for his song “We’re So Lucky” and 2022 International Songwriting Competition Semi-Finalist (Adult Contemporary) for his song “Northern Lights”.

Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations – Tuesday July 4th at 8:00pm

Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations bring down the house with a powerful mix of Motown/Memphis Soul Music that’s guaranteed to get the party started! This is a 100% Old School Soul Revue complete with outstanding female singers, a full horn section, and a show that that will knock your socks off! The band covers Soul Classics from Sam and Dave, the Supremes, Wilson Pickett, Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, The Staple Singers and The Queen of Soul – Aretha Franklin! When Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations hit the stage, it’s an instant Soul Train dance party and a History of Soul Music all wrapped up in a single package of FUN!
