Stamp prices

You can use stamps on letters up to two kilos. The price is calculated according to the size and weight of your shipment. For letters that are more than 35.3 cm long or more than 25 cm wide; use price table for “More than 7 cm thick”.

Pricing for letters in roll shape: Diameter up to 7 cm and length up to 35.3 cm; use price table for “2-7 cm thick”. Diameter more than 7 cm or length over 35.3 cm; use price table for “More than 7 cm thick”. Maximum dimensions for roll: Length up to 90 cm. Length + double diameter not more than 104 cm.

Stamps are sold individually, in booklets, on rolls and as whole sheets. You can buy stamps in our online store, at Posten or at petrol stations, kiosks, bookstores etc.

Lacking postage

If a shipment is missing or has too little postage, the sender must pay missing postage and an additional fee. If we do not know the sender, it is the recipient who has to pay. 62.- kroner for invoice and 13.- kroner per letter. More about lacking postage

Send letters abroad

For all shipments containing value (goods, objects, passports, agreements and the like), the customs information/what is inside the shipment must be registered digitally. Use our self-service solution. For shipments you do not register digitally, you pay 38.- kroner for us to do the registration for you. Get in touch at one of our drop-off points.

Lacking postage and/or digital registration of customs documentation

If a shipment is missing or has too little postage, the sender must pay the missing postage and an additional fee of 62.- kroner + 13.- kroner per letter afterwards. If digital registration of customs documentation is missing when delivered in a red mailbox or other self-service points, the sender will be invoiced 38.- kroner and a surcharge of 62.- kroner + 13.- kroner per letter afterwards.

Letters abroad

For letters without value (for example Christmas cards, letters, annual reports or other documentation): buy stamps at Posten and mark the letter with A-Priority.

For documents (such as passports, agreements and the like), and for gifts or goods: use our simple self-service solution for address labels and customs declarations. Customs information must show what the content is and must be registered digitally and in English. Write exactly what the content is; it does not hold to write “Gift”. Enter sender, recipient and pay for shipping at the same time.

Maximum measures for letters are: Length + width + thickness: 90 cm Length: 60 cmLetters exceeding maximum measures or is more than 2 kg, must be shipped as a parcel.

When you send a letter abroad and want the recipient to avoid paying to send a letter back to you. Purchase at the online store or at a post office.
